Understanding the Plastic Packaging Tax (PPT) and Its Impact on Acme Seals Ltd Products
Starting 1st April 2022, Acme Seals Ltd will be paying the Plastic Packaging Tax (PPT) on all plastic products received from our factories on or after this date. This tax, introduced by the UK government, aims to reduce plastic waste and encourage the use of recycled materials in packaging.
Even though Acme Seals Ltd already uses biodegradable plastic, this material still falls within the scope of PPT, as the tax applies to plastic packaging containing less than 30% recycled content, regardless of biodegradability.
Does PPT Apply to Your Order?
Products received before 1st April 2022 are not subject to PPT. To confirm whether your order is affected, please check the box label, which provides details on your product’s tax status.
