The Acme Cylindrical Ferrule Sealing Tool compresses a tin-coated copper ferrule onto a multistrand Bowden cable.
This produces a high security, tamper-proof seal. Usually applied by forming a closed loop using a single crimped ferrule. In the Electricity Supply Industry, the system security seals installations of cut-outs, fuses and meter terminal covers and is factory fitted to meter units. Additionally the system is suitable for any security sealing application where evidence of unauthorised tampering, combined with high mechanical strength of the sealing system is a requirement. The engraved crimping area of the tool embosses the crimped ferrule with a code and/or logo. As standard up to six characters are engraved (three per side).
